Interesting Swedish Brown Twill Jacket, sz 42L

I've decided to clear my closet of all the stuff I don't wear or that doesn't fit, so watch for my posts for the next couple of days. My wife has been inspired by my efforts, so I'll also be posting a few lady things, as well.

I got this jacket on eBay a couple of years ago because I thought it was totally cool, but the seller misjudged the size and I didn't think it was worth the bother/expense of sending it back, and it's been taking up closet space ever since. I've never seen one like it and don't have a clue about its date or purpose.

The fabric is a really nice brown wool twill with suede binding on the button holes. Lots of inside pockets (see photo below). It's clean and in very good condition. As near as I can tell, it's a 42 long or maybe a 44. The back length is 32", width across the back between mid-shoulder seams is 18.5" and the half-sleeve length is 27.5". I'd like to get $35.00 + postage or trade for something I can use.

Three, count 'em, three inside pockets plus one on the other side!

Both buttonholes are functional, but there's no button on the underside of the opposite lapel.
