Bruce Springsteen has just released on his web site a short film "Hunter Of The Invisible Game" in which he wears a nice vintage style Barnstormer type jacket with what appears to be a shearling shawl collar. He is known to have a good collection of leather jackets/coats and this one compliments the mood of the film IMO...and before you ask, no, I have little idea what it's all about, it's being argued over on various Bruce forums as we speak!

I'm a long time, well since mid-late 70s Springsteen fan, got the vinyls, seen his tours. That said, this particular song stinks, the "movie" is a joke, and I dislike the leather jacket. Hmm, that did not come across so polite, I guess. Anything nice to say? Well, I'm waiting for him to go back to his roots, which means rock, not the waltz country stuff that he thinks is the deal, and wear a jacket worthy of that. Then I'd be happy to see him in concert again. Rant over, but I just saw this today the first time and got annoyed during a bad day at the office, when I thought I might have a moment of enjoyment...

Each to their own, it has certainly divided his fans, personally I have always liked his ventures into other genres, acoustic, country, folk, the Seeger Sessions Band were the most fun I've had at Springsteen concerts. Coming off a massive two year tour I think he's entitled to try somethings different and if we do indeed get some more archive stuff then that'll be cool too. I have a similar jacket minus the collar style and I love the look, mine is French 1940/50's I believe.

If I liked or even knew a Springsteen song (other than Born in the USA), I might take offense at that. :D

I have been a fan since 1975 and I didn't take offence, like I said, each his own...if I only wanted rock I guess I'd have been a Bon Jovi fan :) (and they DID wear bad leathers!)

Saw the boss 4 times in his last two Aus tours( two tours in 12 months) amazing shows, best I've ever seen. He is 60 odd. No breaks, no support act, over 3 hours non stop. Freakish. The guys at Langlitz do his tour jackets and say he is the nicest guy going around. I love Bruce. He is only the boss I've ever listened to.

Meh... the only Boss I respond to (and of course one of Springsteen's great hits is a Waits song: Jersey Girl) is Mr TW. Sure, he sounds like he's gargled razor blades, but what a poet... Tom won't come all the way to Australia these days - he can't be bought. :D
