One of my co-workers has watched my jacket collection grow and vary over the last 2 plus years. He told me that his Grandmother had given him is grandfathers old Woolrich hunting jacket when he was in college. She wrote his name on the tag and the school he was attending, even though he was a 20 year old Senior at the time. He recently found the jacket and asked me how old it might be. I told him to check on here as we'd recently had a "dating Woolrich jackets" thread.
He called me this morning and said, according to the experts here (thanks all) his "Pop Pop's" jacket was an early 60's Woolrich. I told him congrats on his first vintage jacket. He asked me to pass along his thanks. I then told him in all seriousness to AVOID this place like the plague lest he be infecticated as I was (thanks Butte, Fanch, HD, Dean, Sloan, Dinerman etc...) with the "top shelf and vintage clothing bug". A nasty and nefarious virus that, once contracted, has been known to cloud reason, empty bank accounts and strain even the strongest of marriages. If he succumbs... can't say I didn't warn him.
