My Mom bought this on her honeymoon in 47 when my folks were in So. Dakota. It's a really nice jacket with silver concho buttons, any idea what it would sell for today??
Interesting. Does it say Chemayo on the label? The Chemayo jackets like this, but in the motorcycle style - typically with corduroy arms, belted back treatment with side buckles and wrist straps/buckles - typically sell for no less than $300 on eBay and usually around $500 or so; obviously determined by the size of the garment. (I desperately want one but can't afford.) Since this one does not have a zipper, collar, wrist buckles i'd expect it to get a bit less, but there are a lot of collectors of Chimayo and other Southwest arts and crafts that could push the price.
Ganscraft is a name you see a lot when these come up for sale. The body panels were made from native American blanketwear and the arms/collars etc were added in a variety of materials. Really nice, and more importantly very interesting, jackets.
