Before the economic slump, these would have probably fetched about $300.

Has the vintage market halved, in general?

I saw them when they were up, and I'm going to be frank here - they're just gaudy.

When purchasing my Stacy Adam's Madisons a while back, I seem to remember seeing a similar configuration of color and print - still just as unsavory.

I'm sure the quality on these shoes are of great quality, but they're just painful to look at :\

Anybody archive the pics? They're gone now. [huh]

I can post them if you like from imageshack. I keep all those pix for historical (hysterical = der Mann?) interest and usually post them here. imageshack does not have the deleting problems of photobucket.

Thanks for posting the pic. They do go a bit further than I might be willing to go. I'd think the seller might have gotten more in his auction had he presented the shoes better.

I was watching this for a while, and was hoping the no one else was paying attention.

Turned out there was way more competition than I thought.

I like them, very flamboyant and sharp, but I don't know if I'd wear them or not. What could you wear with those, I don't have the slightest idea.

I asked him whether they were sound. He said they were which surprised me considering the age and my own pitfalls on vintage shoes. The presentation was very bad but that's how someone gets a bargain!:p ;)

You could always wear them with a green cordouroy, suit a green trilby,, for Saint Patrick's Day and accessories could include a Shamrock leaf in the button hole and a Pint of Green Guinness
