Have a hat that would be absolutely perfect, except...??

Post a picture here! It will make you feel better - guaranteed!

This cap would surely be my favorite... if only it weren't two sizes too small.

I wear this Playboy several times a week, but wish the crown were a touch taller (it's only 5 1/4" open, wish it were 5 3/4") or the original ribbon were 1 3/4" wide (it's 2", and with a shorter crown, it should be thinner and I don't want to change it and have a darker color felt showing where there was once extra ribbon), or both. The color, felt quality, and brim are absolutely perfect. I'm having a custom made in Charcoal Beaver that has the exact specs, though.

It's still second only to the favorite hat in my collection, a 40's Whippet:

Ive got two. The first was a Borso I found at a swap shop for 35 bucks. It was not my size. Made money but would rather have had the hat.

THe second is the worst hat decision of my life. I sold this AWESOME borsalino to fund a custom hat that I ended up selling. Oo if I just could take that decision back!

Now doesn't that feel better? :)

HT24, that was a bad decision... but if that is the worst decision of your life, you are doing just fine, my friend.

This probably won't help, either, but I liked that custom, teach! But better yet, you'll get another that you will like even more.

IF ONLY I HADN'T screwed up the initial brim trim on this Resistol 4X Western. My hand was not steady with the scissors and sand paper didn't give resolve.

In the spirit of making proverbial lemonade, I had to trim it again, much more carefully this time, and though there are a few subtle waves, they aren't nearly as noticeable, and a sanding of the edges helped immensely. It's a very wearable hat now, even though the brim is down to about 2 1/8"!

If only...

...I hadn't stumbled upon this site, I'd:

Never have worn a fedora
Have way more space in my home office
Have more $$ for other things
Not face ridicule from my daughter for wearing funny hats
Not have personally kept eBay, PayPal and custom hatters in business the last couple of years
Not have been robbed by Aero Leather (USA)
Not have had the chance to hang out in a really cool online community

All I wanted was to find some info on peacoats!
