How true, how true! I have a nice collapsible Top Hat that I ware once in a wile with a nice cutaway. I love dressing to the nines for a special occasion. Always a big hit with the Art Deco Society members. ;)

If you are going to get a top hat Butters, a collapsible is the way to go. The darn things are too big to store otherwise. Perhaps that is only for me though---size 7 5/8. LOL I know that size might make the hat a bit bigger than most.

I store my collapsible open and not collapsed. If one stores a collapsible well, collapsed, it will acquire wrinkles and creases in the crown. It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ is best to store a collapsible open.

Most toppers are only about 6 inches tall any way. Not much taller then a fedora. They only appear to be taller. My topper fits in any hat box I have. Collapsible toppers are nice, but you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t get that beautiful shine that an all brushed silk one has. Those things are just so pretty! Like a brand new record! But, only softer. :D

Yep, reminds me of my bowler. They are both stiff enough to break windows if you run into them head first too. :D
They do brush up nice though. I brushed the bowler last night and got so much dust of it that I saved some and will probably use it for potting soil. I think tomatoes will grow very well in it. LOL LOL

Hat Dust- The answer to all life's mysteries. No matter what you do your hat will get dust on it. Just wear it once and bing!
I guess that is why they invented hat brushes. :D Unfortunately there must have been a lot of people with broken arms taking care of hats I've gotten my hands on lately. LOL LOL I think the Titanic has less sediment on it now. ;)

Titanic eh? He he he that's good. LOL LOL LOL

I have found things that are in wors condition then the Titanic. I have a buddy that has a 1938 Cadillac and it looks like he found it next to the Titanic.LOL

Any way, hats get dusty but, when you're done dusting, it's always worth the time.

Hey, good idea! You would get a lot more use out of DVD's then a Top hat! :D

I think that every one should have at least one topper in his collection though.

You know, just to "Top" off the collection! LOL LOL

Regards.

Yes, Fred did make the white tie and top hat really work. But, so did many early Jazz boys! Like Duke Ellington and Fletcher Henderson! Not to forget Mr. Monopoly!LOL

I think that Fred made it look so nice because he was such a small guy. He was a size 36! I wish I was that size!!! I would have the corner on the vintage market! :D

Regards.
