Seems that way. Although it's difficult to tell with these because many companies were using ancient ones well into the 1960s. They're built like a brick outhouse so they were put in service for a long time.

My Mom used to work for an inventory company that would travel to businesses and tabulate all their stock.
She used one of those old beasts throughout the '60s and it was much, much bigger than the one you have. The Comptometers were so heavy that they brought department store shopping carts to put them in while they did their work! :eek:
