I think I may have been a Giant in the 40's and 50's

I've been looking at suits on Ebay trying to find a nice vintage suit. I don't think folks got to be as big as me in those days. If I find a jacket to fit me (46L) the trousers are usually 40-29s. I'm a 35-34.

I don't think it will be possible to find a vintage matching Jacket and pants.

What are your thoughts?

Based on browsing the written information from those decades I would not say you would be considered a giant.
Were it the 40s-50s you would be able to order clothes to fit. The problem is finding them today.
