I’d be seriously tempted to buy this hat, I’m a size 62cm, but I already have one in this color and I really can’t justify another. I hope to see more 62cm hats with tall crowns and wide brims in your Marketplace.

Thank you very much! I appreciate your consideration. I am always working on something new for the Marketplace. Sizes tend to be random full sizes. Custom orders are always welcome!

I've embarked upon a journey into my first "semi-custom" hat. I really like a hat in Hufvud's Marketplace -

LEIFUR FEDORA | DARK BROWN RUST | RABBIT & HARE DELUXE BLEND | SIZE 58, US 7 1/4

- but I prefer a bound brim. I shot Mikael an email and he is going to bind the brim for me, and adjust the price accordingly. He says with his current workload it should be done in about a month.

It has been a while since I got a new hat, and I'm pretty stoked.

Hi everyone,

I’m new here, but my first post is to express my great appreciation for Mikael from Hufvud. I had been looking for a fedora with that typical 1930s vibe for a while, but at the same time of the best quality. Mikael succeeded more than I can say in making one for me. It really exceeded my expectations and I don't think I am exaggerating when I say I think he is a true master of his craft. The hat is beautifully made and meets all the expectations I was looking for. If you are looking for a hat of excellent quality, made by a man who fully understands and loves his art, then Mikael of Hufvud is the place to be.

Welcome! And congratulations on your Hufvud. I received my first hat from Mikael a week ago today, and I'm madly in love with it. Your hat looks fabulous on you!

From that angle it looks like the crown is 6 ½” tall. Nice 1930s look.

Thank you! That crown looks taller in the picture, it actually is a 4 3/4 inch.

I knew it wasn’t 6 ½ inches either open or as creased. I just has that 1930s tall crown modest (neither wide nor stingy) brim. I like the two Hufvuds I have and I keep thinking about another. I figure if it’s meant to be it will shown up in his marketplace.

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing this photo. The match with the coat is wonderful! I am happy that you like it.

I just saw a post on FB: Mikael is upping his game with a serious investment in equipment. This crown iron and plater/brim breaker look fantastic. I’m thinking I should get in his queue.
Mikael has just moved into a new shop space, and he seems very enthusiastic about the change. When I placed my order a few weeks back I was told the wait time would be about 3 months.
