Ok we have all heard one way or another that Mr Hughes was a bit shall we say different.
In the film the Aviator we see him drinking vast amounts of milk and wearing tennis shoes ( gym shoes ). But I have never been able to comferm that he really did wear such shoes. As for the milk drinking he states in a interview that was not true he would drink milk with cake or with cookies but liked V8 or water with his meals.
I really like the white gym shoes ( All Stars or PF flyers) white oxford shirt and khaki pants with a dark brown fedora as a every day look add a nice leather jacket for when it gets cold.
What say you all on the matter of Mr Hughes' shoes?

Hughes made one of his later appearances with the XH-17 heavy lift helicopter in 1952, and seems reasonably dressed.

(Note: Hughes did not design this helicopter, the basic work goes back to Kellett, who sold the design to Hughes)
