Just came home this evening from a very large family pot luck (assigned dishes). Twelve 20-somethings and NO texting that I observed. They were in the present and engaged, as well as feigning interest in the parent's conversations.

Now the male parents, however... how to pry us away from another Chicago Bears trouncing and national embarassment.

I only drank diet Dr Pepper...the two bottle of California vintage I brought were not opened which was fine since wine and football...

The Bears fumbled again-predictably devoured by the Lions; however, the Cowboys were also thrown; then the TCU horned frogs met Texas. Notre Dame meets USC in LA Saturday, and I am not optimistic about the Irish. A busted flush.

The Lions won and the Cowboys lost. It was a great football day. Texas A&M losing was just icing on the cake!
