I am thinking here of 16+ oz. wools, tweeds, and alpaca, such as Locharron's 16 oz. Strome tartan, the 19/20 oz. Harris Tweed, Lost Worlds' 25 oz. alpaca, and the 26 oz. (!) Keepers Tweed.
I figure some of this is subjective, as some people tend to be warmer or easily chilled. Since I am relatively lean, I tend towards the cold side, and I am strongly considering the 19/20 oz. tweed for an Aero. What I am wondering is,
1) Can a heavy lining distort a horsehide jacket's drape, etc.? (This seems unlikely, but worth asking.)
2) At what point does the thickness of a liner noticeably infringe upon the wearer's space in the jacket? That is, at what point does a heavy liner start making the jacket feel tight?
3) At what point does a heavy liner make a horsehide jacket really heavy?
