One of the ladies here was hemming up her dress (this pattern)

I've been reading some information about this pattern over on A Dress A Day blog and people are saying it's out of proportion. From what I'm reading it seems that it is bigger than what they expected. Could you tell me if that is the case. I was going to enlarge the dress by one size but if it runs large then I don't want to adjust the pattern if I don't. I have 29 days until I need the dress so I've got to get moving on it. TIA! :)

My friend Mel made that dress.I can't remember if she said it was big or not,but you can contact her via her website at shoepants.com
There's even a pic of her in it on her home page.Hit "contact me" at the bottom of her page to email her.

This dress again.

Two variations of that dress have been floating around the Powder room for some time. One opens in the back (which I have made twice thus far), and this front opening version.

Check out the sewing threads for details, but that is the beauty of sewing, if it IS too big/ small, just adjust it! :)

I did this dress not from pattern but from a sketch I made of it. If you are bigger in the bust, that little wrap around thing needs to be adjusted, where it sits gets a little rumpled around the boobie area. Check out sewingpatternreview.com, many ladies there have taken on this project and there are lots of neat pictures to look at of their finished products. Good Luck!

I bought that pattern at the last big sale, but haven't gotten around to making it.

I usually have to alter everything anyway, since I am not drawn to the same scale as most humans.
