I just had most of my hair cut as short as possible, and now a bunch of my hats feel half a size loose. I find that hats that "fit" me -- as I'm told by milliners -- feel like they're "pulling up" my eyebrows when worn, so size up. That might be why.
Anyway are your hats sized when your measurements are at their largest (e.g., the longest your hair is without looking shaggy) or at their smallest (when you've just cut your hair)? Or do you try to find some middle ground where it becomes tight if you've haven't had a haircut in several weeks, but loose just after one?
