Does horsehide stretch? And does it mold into the body specific for a person? if I were to get a used one, would it be conformed already?

I think even a used horsehide jacket will conform to your body if you wet it thoroughly and wear until dry. Otherwise, no, I don't think so.

That's not something you should worry about in getting a used leather jacket. I would think that if it is "conformed" to the previous owner's body, and I'm not sure there is such a thing, then it will re-conform to your body. As others have said above, wetting it will hasten the process.

There are members here who frequently move used jackets in and out of their collection. One will weigh in shortly.
