Does horsehide stretch? And does it mold into the body specific for a person? if I were to get a used one, would it be conformed already?
That's not something you should worry about in getting a used leather jacket. I would think that if it is "conformed" to the previous owner's body, and I'm not sure there is such a thing, then it will re-conform to your body. As others have said above, wetting it will hasten the process.Does horsehide stretch? And does it mold into the body specific for a person? if I were to get a used one, would it be conformed already?

There are members here who frequently move used jackets in and out of their collection. One will weigh in shortly.
As Will Zach said above, get it thoroughly wet such as wearing it in the rain, or as wet as you can get it with a spray bottle. You could also soak it in a tub, but I don't think that would be necessary. How wet is "wetting"
I got in the shower with one, but that was probably an overkill, lol.As Will Zach said above, get it thoroughly wet such as wearing it in the rain, or as wet as you can get it with a spray bottle. You could also soak it in a tub, but I don't think that would be necessary.
