Dear TFL,

while it’s still a few days left in this year, I want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your contributions in the various threads, and for the effect this community has on me.

TFL for me is like having a pen-friend when I was way longer and one still had pen-pals. You never really knew each other, you had a perspective of meetings maybe once or twice in your life, and when a meeting finally happened it was more often than not very different from the expectations.

But one thing it was : MEANINGFUL.

The friendships I have with you guys is just like that. Most of you I will never meet face-to-face. Some may not be my cup of tea if we met. Some I have met, and it was a blast. Some of you freak me out just by reading your posts. Some touch me at some place deep within just with a casual remark.

One thing is for sure: I would love to share a drink with each one of you guys!

This place is MEANINGFUL for me.

Happy holidays, however you celebrate it, and have a good start into a healthy, happy and peaceful New Year.

100% agree, love being able to shoot the shit with some great people that share the same interests as you.

During my rather short time here I've had some great discussions both in some thread and through the message function, and everyone I've talked with has been real, down to earth, amazing people(OP included ofc).

So I agree with you Tom, this place sure is meaningful for me as well

I like this place. It's been a nice hideout from the recent election coverage here in the USA as politics are seldom discussed.

That said, there are some cool.people here willing to share their knowledge and add to the ever growing archive.
