Hi there,
thought I might post something here too,
for those who might be interested,
Not a picture, only a painting, but very interesting here, showing the 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders in action at Escaut Canal, Belgium, May 1940. The last Highland Regiment to wear a kilt in battle, attacking the Germans at the River Escaut.

Oh the pipes!

Of interest? Daniel Laidlaw VC. The piper of Loos is buried not far from my lo-cal. In Norham Kirkyard [Actually in England but on the Border..infact any closer it would be right in the Tweed] .

Yes, you right my friend! Probably one of the bravest pipers in military history, "Blue Bonnets over the Borders"
