Here's an interesting leather MC jacket from the Ebay..

It has some interesting features: Cross zip with cafe racer collar, and just that single pocket. A bit pricey for a no-name jacket, and who knows what it's actually background is. The lister suggests that it might be a 1950s one-off custom, but I don't know.. Anyone have any ideas on it..?

Looks Langlitz like to me. Cascade perhaps?

I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a Langlitz. The design seems to borrow a bit from the Columbia and Cascade, but the details are different enough that I'd say it's neither of those designs, nor is it a Langlitz. The interior, especially, doesn't look like the way Langlitz's are made.

Very unique- with that cross zip front it's similar to the Langlitz Cascade...with a Columbia back. But there are some differences- never seen Langlitz put a tag and loop near the top of the neck. And it doesn't look like a Langlitz lining. I'm liking that minimalist one pocket front. I just wish the arms were longer...typical!

I'm thinking Langlitz as well. Looking at the detail photos of the jacket I see at least three different brands of zippers which leads me to believe that the jacket has had some repair work done over the years. Perhaps the lining has been replaced as well.

I wonder if Langlitz ever did a single pocket like that though... I've googled a bit but have not seen any. It seems possible that the pocket was added later, but I don't think any other pockets could have easily been removed. So perhaps it was originally a no-pocket racing shirt style..? But I don't see any Langlitz's like that either, though there may be.

Definitely an interesting specimen -- hard to tell fit though on cross zip's I find, and I'd be interested to see how it drapes with someone wearing it.

It was exactly the same, down to a zipper snap except that I would've gotten one with those stripes on the back. Scott said they've done a few like that looong time ago and he remembered them because of the simplicity of the design. Could be it, I guess.

If it is an old Langlitz, it's a bit different than this one. Not the pockets, of course, these jackets were always custom made so pocket placement isn't a sign of anything but some other details are off. On second thought, I'm not sure if it's Langlitz...

I didn't realize Langlitz was so customizable, which does it make more possible. Though details do seem a bit off, as you say.

Langlitz always does a Grecian key style of stitch pattern on their lower panels, this one does not have that. It still looks like a quality jacket.

Also, the collar on the cafe racer looks very different than the ones found on the Langlitz jackets. Typically the Langlitz collars have two snaps, and less of a tab.

Yeah they had a nice eBay shop for quite awhile. Based out of Dayton, Ohio. Their gear was always really nice and priced accordingly.

I see it as more of a "cossack" style due to the shape and width at the bottom.
The zips are an interesting mish-mash, I'd think it's been repaired.

My first Langlitz was a raghouse find and the label was hidden on the inside. It is possible the seller may not know where to look.
