Just received this Hercules. I saw it on the bay and sent an offer. The seller is an FL member and contacted me by PM. It was listed as steer hide but feels like horsehide to me. Sized 42, it is small on me the back only 22.5" sits aways above my belt. I like the jacket and will hang on until a larger size comes my way. The fit picture I am wearing high waisted Aero riding trousers.
The 4 pictures of the jacket are taken from the listing.

Hi, the jacket is not "short" at all...it only comes from the 50's when guys used only high waist trousers....So we should say that your belt line is low...Just kidding but you should try with a higher waist pair of denim and you'll fall in love with the final result (see Tom Hardy's outfit in The Bikeriders)

I have this jacket in the same size 42. I am old school and wear my pants the way I wore them in the 80s. Likewise, I rock the jacket, wearing 501 jeans. I also have other sears made by other makers. This jacket were a tool for motorcyclist. I must point out, this particular Hercules style is a little wide at the shoulders. A trend that was in when the jacket was produced. My other Sears jackets from the same era do not have the wider shoulders, but they are a great fit for those who prefer the look.
