I go the itch for another leather jacket a few months back and started a daily prow of ebay and the FL. I came across a Levi halfback on ebay but it had issues. Here are some pictures of the jacket.

The jacket had issues so I did not bid high. I been going to Johnson leathers for years to have work done to my vintage and reproduction leather jackets. I saw the work Alan was doing making jacket from vintage examples or even pictures and commissioned him to reproduce the Levi halfbelt.
Does any one have pictures of early Levi halfbelt or similar jackets they could post or measurements of a vintage size 46, or 23 inch pit to pit vintage levi halfbelt jackets.

It's probably for the best. That's a modern LVC reproduction jacket, sold under the "1950s Ruff and Ready" model name. The "damage" is factory distressing- it's in the same place on all of them, and is purely cosmetic.

You can also see the remains of the LVC tag on the lining side seam, which would identify it as a reproduction, as well as its materials and country of manufacture. Looks like the seller (or let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe it was someone else) cut it off. The modern style size tag which was under the label has also been cut out, but you can see the black remains of it as well. The modern square zipper stop-box (which is partially visible in one shot, though mostly avoided) is also a giveaway, as that style wasn't used until around the 1990s.

Are you asking about jackets that are a size 46 or ones with a 46" chest (size 42)?

On originals of that style in the 46 size range that I've had, 25" is about the standard back length, measured from the base of the collar to the hem.

That seller sells a lot of leather jackets. Not a callow mistake me thinks.
