Hi all,

Hoping someone may be able to help me. I have a vintage WW2 Deck jacket that I have been trying to date by contract code. I have seen several lists which did not include this contract code.

The label says NAVY Department, Contract NXsx-80435. SIZE 42

Thank you

Patrick

I'm pretty good with vintage tags, especially vintage Navy tags, but have never seen a tag like this before. I will give this post a few more hours in this forum, and then I will move it to the Outerwear forum where it might get more traction.

I'm thinking this might not be a "real" Navy tag. It might be helpful if you would post pictures, front and back, of the jacket.

Thank you for your reply. I purchased the jacket from a reputable dealer. Unfortunately, the original ad is no longer online but it was described as a Sub N-1 by the stencil. It’s in very good condition. The arm holes are pretty high which made me think it was from that era vs some repros I have. I’ve included some additions pictures. Thanks again.

This thread was originally posted in WWII thread, but I thought some of you experts here would know the answer. So I have moved it to Outerwear to see if anyone can help him out.

Thank you. I realize the clarity on the pictures is not great I can add larger photos if that would help.
