Help with Ladies Suit

I'm planning on having a suit made for my wife. We'd like it to be dressy and 40s looking but not like a typical modern woman's business suit. She wants the skirt well below knee length and the top to be very fitted. Any help would be appreciated. We're looking for any photos or drawings from this era. Thanks in advance and
