I just got this brown fedora in a very bad shape, made of very (I mean extremely) soft felt with velour feel to it. Crown is about 6 in. high, the brim is about 2 in. wide. It will need some serious care.

It has no lining and there are these identification marks:

So, how old can it be?
Some english loungers will probably know something about the company that made the hat - Hilhouse and Co., 11. New Bond Street, London

As for the other tag, it probably means it was made for this shop: http://knize.at/en/content/1.html .

I thought you were looking for advice on your love life.
Actually... No, this one is about a hat :) This is not the right place for that stuff, I know better :)

besdor - yes, it´s the lightest hat I´ve ever seen. I would be afraid to wear it on a windy day. As for the christy´s - I would welcome any information on any of the brands mentioned. What kind of affiliation did Hilhouse have with Christy´s?

edit:
I´m going to pronounce it my first indy-like hat. (it´s still wet on the photo)

Another hat

It's very furry, the stamp says "Hutchinson's, a mark of quality".

Crown is approximately 4 1/2" high. Brim is 2 7/8".

Can anyone tell me anything about this?

Thank you,

Sandi
