Help with a stubborn brim

Hey guys!
This is a total newbie question and I would appreciate some help

I got a new Akubra Federation for Christmas and have been working with the bash quite a bit to get the style I'm going for, but I'm not sure what I need to do with the brim. I love the snap to it, but it just snaps way too much in the back. I don't want the back to be turned up as much as it is. The sides also keep popping back into place when I'd rather them be flat...at least up to a certain point.

Any advice on what to do to get it to be a little flatter? I've heard about using an iron, but I was just wondering what the technique is to it. I just don't want to ruin my nice new hat . Thanks for your help!

You can use distilled water in a misting spray bottle . just wet the brim , shape it how you want it and let it dry. You can get alot of the shape you want by just continuing to work the brim by hand.

I'll definitely give that a try then! thanks! I used some water to get the hard pinch in the front (indy style), and I was surprised how well it holds once it dries. This is my first fedora so I'm learning a whole lot . I didn't realize that the water would work just as well on the brim even though it's so tough. Thanks again for the help
