Hey there, guys. I have a quick question for you. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out.
For my farewell party (think of it as the Indian version of prom), I'll be wearing a tailored DB navy blue suit, a white French cuffs shirt with blue stripes, a red tie with a very subtle pattern, a plain maroon pocket square. For the shoes, I'm thinking of wearing these -http://img7.flixcart.com/image/shoe/w/e/g/camelsue-clm-0946-carlton-london-9-700x700-imadjew6ejhh9qan.jpeg. Are they a little too out there, or are they all right? Other alternatives I have are plain black shoes, and chestnut brown Derby shoes. Also, the socks - navy blue, plain red, or some sort of patterned red?

I like the suede shoes, but I wouldn't wear them with a double breasted suit. I would probably go with the black shoes (with red socks).

Whatever you wear, have a good time!

Hi

I'm by no means an expert on how to dress, but the main thing is to keep it simple. The tie and the pocket square are close together and should match exactly or you should loose one. Red and Maroon don't match... I suggest keeping the tie. I would wear the plain black shoes with navy blue socks. IN MY OPINION, it's better to use a flashy tie to draw attention to your face, than flashy socks to draw attention to your feet.

Definitely have a good time! Don't spend any time talking to the guys, just the girls.

The maroon is close enough to the red in this case to go with it.
And I assure you I will spend a lot of time with the girls. Not just talking though, hopefully ;)
