My latest purchase - leather creased from poor storage but in good condition except the lining which needs a few patches. Can anyone give me a rough idea of its date of manufacture. My guess is 1950’s?

I’m really pleased with it- no red rot or crumbly cuff edges and its big enough - rare for vintage - fits nice -23” pit to pit 19” shoulders and 24” sleeves so a good fit for me at 43” snug chest.

The jacket isn't going to do you any real justice like a new jacket will, I'd be glad to help you get out of this dilemma by paying you for the jacket, bro's do each other favors!

I don't know of a good dating system for the Comar zippers. It seems that everyone copy what Talon was doing. In this case Conmar is down the middle of the stop, Talon did this late forties. It also has a cloth lining which to me is more 40s. I've often thought the jackets with this leather-like label were made by Appalachian tanned and tailored. They use a similar label. I have no doubt that some of the Sears jackets were made by Appalachian, I've seen both labeled jackets are identical.
