Ok so for a WWII reenactment this fall I will be wearing a white linen suit with my red hat, red remix shoes, and I need red gloves to go with it. I have been searching high and low! The event is in November so I have time but, its an off the wall request. This is what I want to find:

I need a size 7.5. If I can't find a red pair I will get a white pair and dye them. Can you ladies be of any assistance?Thank you!

Ebay?

I always see a lot of gloves there...
I have had very good luck dying white gloves with Rit dye, or Dylon dye, so that is also an option.

It shouldn't transfer if you rinse them really well, and then also wash them with soap (the washing machine is fine) afterward. Dry them away from the sun after pulling them into the correct shape.
I have never had dye come out of gloves I dyed, but often out of leather or suede gloves that came that color!
What about wearing white gloves? Too much with the suit?

Yeah white gloves(for me) would be overkill. I thinjk if I wore a shirt in a color other than whie I would be ok but I have a couple white shirts I wear with it. And the gloves, purse, hat and shoes are usaully the only color accents I wear with this outfit. This is the suit:

I was wearing it with all brown accsesoires that day(sorry for the bad picture). What you can't see is the hat has brown ribbon hanging off it and brpwn netting.

I may have some white ones. My mother-in-law gave me a big bag of gloves. There are several white pairs, but they are all in pretty bad shape. But if you were going to dye them, it might work. They may be too small though. Most fit me and I think I wear a 7. Let me check tonight. :)

There is one pair that are longer. They come up to about half way between the elbow and wrist. They are white, but have a few yellow stains. They measure 3" across the palm, and they have a stretch to them. My palm is 7" around I can fit into them- I have kinda short fingers though. Let me know if you think they might work and I'll take pictures.

Just a thought. Have you ever dyed gloves? Or has anyone else? I'm wondering if they'd turn your fingers the color you dyed? You know, like when you wear dyeable shoes and they always make colored spots on your feet.

I found these tonight when I was searching for a hat. They are a little big on me so I think they are probably 7 1/2. They are 3 1/2 across the palm. And 11 1/2 at the longest part. They come to midway between my wrist and elbow, but I do have shorter arms. There's one small repair to a thumb, other than that just a little dingy- actually, they look better in person than in the photo. They are tan, but I imagine they could be dyed, if that's possible. Have you done a test yet?
