Help dating this G-1

I just picked up a nice Navy G-1, it's in like new condition It's label is marked:

Intermediate Type G-1
Size 44
MIL-J- 7823E (AS)
Star Sportswear Mfg. Corp.
8415-268-7801
DSA100-73-C-0034

Could anyone date this for me? I tried searching the web but with no luck. I'll try and post some pics when I get time

I believe the 7823-E contract was post-Vietnam (ie, post-1973).

Fletch is correct. It is a 1973 jacket. Here is my '72---the first year that E-series Stars were produced.
