Hello all!:)
I have an Apple iMac and can not post any pictures to this forum. Is it the computer or just me? I could before on my P.C., but the Mac is way different.
Thank You.

First, do you have an account with ImageShack, Photobucket, Flickr or your own website to host 'em on? If not, open one, upload your photo there.

Second, copy the URL with the
tags around it, and post in your message, so it looks something like:
[IMG ]http://your.url.here/album/image.jpg[ /IMG] (remove the spaces, I put those in so you could see the tags)

Hope this helps.

Help!

Thanks all,:)
If I do the "Insert Image" key on the forum, my cut and paste will not work for the http in photobucket account that I use. I even remembered the photo address and typed it in, nothing has worked for me.
Glad it is just me and not the Mac as I am much easier to fix.
Thank You.

Photo posting

I am on Mac also. Am just wondering why we have to post to a 3rd party site then post to the lounger and not to a dirrect attachment to our postings.
I am not really comfortable posting my photo out for just any one in cycber space to view and ok with the folks here on the lounge just not some one who I do not know or have anything in comman with

Macs do have right click potentiality, you just need to tweak your browser. Are you using Firefox?

The sheer volume of server space and bandwidth needed for hosting everyone's images here would be tremendous.

Since none of us pay to help with that cost, its fairly understandable why we all need to host pictures elsewhere.

Help!

I do use Firefox and my wireless mouse has a right click too, but it has a totally different function then a P.C. mouse and the mouse that came with this computer only had one button. I guess it could be called left or right click, still will not work the same. My point is a Mac and a P.C. are a different animal.

I have the same problem, Kpreed. Sorry I can't help. I can only sympathize. I feel fortunate that I was able to stick an avatar under my name. Coming from a pc, this Mac stuff is not as intuitive as everyone claimed. I also do not want to post my photos on the internet for just anyone to see. Sometimes I want my Dell back!!

ok....I am on a mac...and I dont 'right click' anywhere in the process of using photobucket and posting pictures here.

I use safari...so might want to try that.

two options:

In photobucket right under the picture in the gallery, are 4 different types of links.

If I click on the one that says Image Code it immediatly flashes a 'copied' message at me. I can then come into my 'post window' and do a apple key and V and it pastes it right in.

if that doesnt work, try this...

Right above the picture in the gallery are 4 works...click on 'share'. this will take you to another page and at the bottom there is a box that says 'or just copy the link' and you can copy that using 'highlight the text, apple-key C, and then you can use the little 'insert image' button in the posting window here, to convert that to an image code

Neither of these involve anything a mac doesnt already have.

If this is unclear..I can do instructions with screenshots if needed.

Hope this helps.

Mac users: ctrl + mouseclick is the way to 'right click.'

also, i have had no problems posting photos here. flickr hosts my photos, i just copy the url, come over here, and insert between (as diamondback wrote above)
.

good luck! :)

You shouldn't be having any problem. With a one button mouse, a right click is accomplished by using the control button along with a mouse click, as has been mentioned.
