I am in need of some advice on a vintage peek-a-boo tie I recently acquired... take a look.
I believe this item is 50s (based on material, style and length), I am not sure what type of fabric it is. It feels rough, but it could be dirty. Does anyone recognize the pin-up girl, is it an actress, or just generic pinup? Lastly, I am not a tie collector, I plan to sell this item, I understand they are fairly collectible. What is the collective thought on cleaning this tie? Leave it alone, clean it at home, dry clean, or is it worth it to send it to a tie specialist such as Tie Crafters in NYC?
I appreciate any advice you are willing to give...
