Favorite movie..."The Remarkable Andrew", no "The Maltese Falcon". Maybe since I said Bill Powell I should say "High Pressure". Aw heck, Once I choose one I think of another later on.

I'm not really long in al the old movie things

but I can name some

I really love lassie come home, with the really young elizabeth taylor
( maybe because i have a collie myself)

and rebel without a cause with ofcourse james dean

and as an elvis fan I love Elvis in King kreole and love me tender and jailhouse rock and so on.

(the real oldies are my favorites)

sometimes with the cristmas periods they play the fred astaire and ginger rodger movies here on the television.
I have to say that I love these also

The favorites people have listed here are a great way to dive into old movies. My own #1 is The Philadelphia Story, so I always recommend that first (biased, I know.) Followed by any of the Spencer Tracy-Katharine Hepburn films (Woman of the Year, Adam's Rib), Bette Davis classics (Now, Voyager; Jezebel; The Letter) the Thin Man series... everyone will have different movies to recommend. Have fun!
