B). The Hat Union got him elected...( read Hatless Jack ) Research your self. It is Truth...lets keep saying and saying till the sheep come home.

I like this part from their section on the fedora:

"They are historically connected with the gangsters of the prohibition era of America. This is generally a misrepresentation, because every gentleman who knew a thing about dressing in that era had a hat, or in some cases, several. At Heimie’s, the fedora is held in high regard, and will be recommended to anyone who is new to hat wearing". (Italics added by myself)

I wish that there was a shop like that where I live. Thanks for the info!

That's the ticket

If the store really looks like that, then they have harvested the ideal men's store from my imagination and built it. How can I find an excuse to go to MN?

Hatless Jack: I'm in the final pages of reading it. A really engrossing history of hat wearing and customs (some of which are quite surprising), wrapped up in some nifty political back room insight. Great stuff and every FL member should be issued a copy at the gate.

One sample fact - The peak year of hat production was 1903. The slide toward hatlessness began before WWI. Hatters were beginning to panic by 1937. By the time JFK arrived, the industry was already all but gone.

Great To Deal With

If you ever go there, talk to Duncan. He's easy to deal with and knows what he's talking about. They just started carrying H. Freeman suits, so I'm due to make another trip. It's nice to be able to buy American from someplace where they actually treat you decent.
