That sounds like an excellent combination! How does the off-white hold up smudgewise?

Smudgewise? Just fine. Of course this is not a hat to fish in or do yardwork and shade tree wrenching of any kind. But that goes without saying. This is my sit on my duff with a cocktail and pipe/cigar while listening to Jimmy Buffet hat and when the russet leather jacket comes in, it will be the going to town hat saddled with the jacket and a nice pair of khaki pants and russet colored Spectators.

A lid to be seen in really and I am quite satisfied with it. Again, the lines on the felt are crisper than I can get with the straw and the climate where I live is very temperate so there is really is no overheating factor to even consider. Our projected high today is 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Very tolerable and pleasant and always with a nice ocean breeze.

Thanks for the kindness,

RJ

The temperature here today was about 105 F with the humidity. Perfect day for my Paradise Found shirt and my new Capricorn. Wore them out to my son's soccer game tonight. If the temperatures are going to be tropical, I might as well dress tropical. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the Capricorn. The reviews were true. It is a darn nice hat.

Looks good! Is that the natural / tan shade? I have two Capricorns on the way, though they'll likely only arrive into the end of the season as I wanted a grey one also, which had a three month wait from the place I ordered from...

That's very together-looking. I personally like straws and Panamas with Hawaiian shirts.

Hi Edward, the colour would be tan. It is listed on the EA site as fawn. I am sure you will enjoy your new hats when they arrive.

Ah, yes... that's it. I ordered a fawn and a grey from Everything Australian (offhand, not sure why.... I usually go straight to Hats Direct fo all my Akubras, maybe they didn't have any in my size... [huh] ). They should be here by mis September, so if we have an Indian Summer.... Today, I threw caution to the wind and also ordered a couple of polystraw milano-style porkpies from another US site (both non-pinched, one grey, one black) - hopefully those will arrive sooner. I know last Summer I got so bored with my limited range of straws, so I was gagging for some variance this year to take my mind off rarely being able to wear my beloved felts until the Autumn!

Well it's not the one I won on eBay but...

...this is what they sent me for free as the one I won was double listed. The one I thought I purchased was a deep blue with a loose hibiscus print but this is nice but similar to one I already have. It does live nicely with my Lord Cavendish though and the price is right.

Why do you ask?
Seeing the Capricorns that I have in this thread makes me suddenly need one. I live in Florida and don't own a straw, or a Hawaiian shirt. [Okay, I couldn't pull off the second unless it was just the right shirt for me but I need a straw.]
