Spent the day shopping in Osaka. Back at our hotel now, me in a Hornskov, Etsuko in a wool cloche and enjoying a bottle of Old Vine Zinfandel.

Met a group of longtime business friends made up of MU Tigers, KU Jayhawks & Iowa Hawkeyes to watch KU defeat Creighton to move on to the Sweet 16. Sports bars were packed but we were able to get into a place with prime seating! Under a Stetson 7X.

Anytime KU plays in a tournament there's bound to be DUI checkpoints set up early. Home before the checkpoints!

Yesterday evening I was exhausted from the long week and sipped a Fultons Mossaic IPA (West Coast IPA) while appreciating the disappearing snow mounds. This MN brewer's IPA is delicious.

The sun was still out and I headed out for deck time with a Guinness.

A truly pleasant opportunity to enjoy the sun on a Minnesota evening.

Mikey’s Little Weiner Beer and Stetson Select The Fray

It is with some trepidation I can report that I found Mikey’s Little Wiener beer quite refreshing. This Vienna lager from Pigeon Hall Brewing company was the last of a little care package from a friend back for my birthday in August. The irony is not lost on me that the friends name is Mike. An extremely drinkable beer with just the right amount of hops and a slightly orange flavor And beautiful color With just the right amount of hea… oh just forget it!

Day two in Osaka. I couldn’t resist trying a stout with such a great name.

Very tasty it was, too. Etsuko had a swig and said coffee. More burnt toast flavours for me. Either way, I’d certainly recommend this one.
Later, I had this tangerine IPA.

Decent and quite cheap, but not one I’ll buy again.

Back home enjoying a night cap of Bunnahabhain.
Really enjoying this one.

Sweet vanilla and caramel on the nose, but not so much on the palate. Nice warmth and well balanced. Complex beyond my ability to describe, but really delicious.

Same hat as yesterday - Hornskov Broker.

(I made a collage with the out of focus whiskey pic and this morning's coffee walkabout and Monday's Guinness pics. Out of focus - user error. )

I’m in the south. It’s spring. Pollen everywhere… Jim Beam Peach… ( have you ever dated a southern peach? Her name was Ashley. Blonde, ice blue eyes, looked like Joan Blondell and lived in Buckhead Georgia.. ******* I miss that girl lol!)

With rain still around tonight it was time to go back to a BCD for HH. Inflation has finally hit HH with price increases & shorter hrs.

Time to head home & move the mood meter upward with NBD & open a bottle of Ardbeg Oogie.

Jack, I did not get t visit Ace. I had busniess that captured me day/night through the week. I am looking ahead and do not see that I will have a day to visit until the first week of April. My purchases wait for me. I will yell back with any info that I garner.

I agree that the Ardbeg can alter the mood meter. My mood would move much higher.

Not a problem. ACE has just told me a couple of times they have new ownership who is working on the shipping licenses. Was just wondering if that is true or not.

The Oogie is so good but hasn't done much to change my mood meter. It's probably the music I chose.
