Hat sizing question.

Hi folks - I'm new to the forum here in Philadelphia and think it's great. My question is this: is it possible to re-size a hat that's a size 6 7/8 - 7 to a 71/8? If so, how - wet and stretch?

HI Steve, welcome to the Lounge!!
In answer to your question, yes, stretching the hat one size is no problem but please don't wet the hat. Just insert your stretcher ( I am assuming that you have one) add pressure and mild steam. Let the hat settle and cool on the stretcher and add pressure & steam again, until you have the desired size. This way you aren't taking any real chances that powder has been added to the hat at a time in the past that will bleed out with water.
