Purchased an Alexander and Oviatt black fedora at an estate auction. Says it is made in France. Label Chapeau Oviatt and on opposite side Paris Operey. I am a novice when it comes to hats. About all I could find was company started as Alexander and Oviatt and later became just Oviatt. Hat appears to be in excellent shape but there is no size tag. Also monogram LGJ. In a box Churchill hats Ltd. I am not sure if this would be the original box. I was going to post pics. but I am not sure how to do that here. Would this hat be considered decent quality? Any information would be appreciated.
