Hat labels available

I had a few spare minutes and created some hat labels in a old-timey font. Thought I'd give everyone a look:

I have this saved as a word document with the label set up six times on one page. Anyone wanting a copy of the word document can semd me a private message with your email address - I'll send you an email with the document attached and you can change the personal info to fit you. :cool2:

Hint: I print these on a laser printer at work, not on my ink-jet at home. That way perspiration won't turn the printed letters into an exercise in paper chromatography.

That's right - WSU is one of the institutions that's smart enough to offer alumni (and friends) a lifetime email address. It's a forwarding address, so any mail sent to it is re-directed to my actual address. Therefore I can change addresses as many times as needed and never miss an email! The interface is on the web, so I can go in and change the target address at any time. Only takes a few seconds.

If you're a Cougar friend, hop on there and line yourself up a lifetime email address! The suffix currently available is "cougarmail.org", but there will be some new suffix options coming soon.

I think this is a very cool service. I got caught in the demise of both @home and @AT&T as ISPs, and I decided then that changing email addresses was for the birds, and having to notify my contacts twice in 18 months that my email had changed was nuts. So I've fixed it - this address is good for life. And what else would you expect from the VP of the Alumni Association? It's only fitting to have [gocougs.wsu.edu] as an email suffix!

I made up a similar card, based on a hatcard my Uncle got from a western store in Hobbs, New Mexico. I'll have to remember which printer I used though, so I won't get a head full of ink this summer. Thanks for that heads-up.
