Hi im new to this forum. i am a real newb when it comes to fedoras, so im looking for some help. first of all i just bought a new fedora, it was just a cheap $40 dollar one. it is the Bailey Tino in dark brown. It is hard to find them in my size(7 3/4 or xxl) but anyway... i have this old fedora that i bought last year and i would like to get it cleaned with a new grosgrain band, stiffened, and streatched to my size. Can anyone recommend anywhere to get it done? i found a place called mrhats.com that seems fairly cheap and promising.
thanks

Welcome Dan, good luck on your refurb.
Do a search here and you might decide to do it yourself.:D
This is true. Spending time at the Lounge has given me the confidence to clean and hand block all of my vintage hats. I haven't replaced a liner, sweatband, or ribbon yet but I know that when the time comes, there is a wealth of information on this great board! Of course, spending time here has caused me to buy more hats, too (blessing or curse?)!
