Are the Aris Allens only for dancing?I think these would make a great everyday shoe,as well.
I think they have been posted once before, but I'm not sure.Love them though.

I buy Aris Allens for my swing dancing and they are just fine to wear on the street, so they say. They actually recommend it if you are wanting to dance in them because the dirtier the soles the faster you spin--just don't get them wet (for dancing purposes) but I think that they'd be fine on the street. They're well-made shoes and hold up well. I know a few dancers who wear their AA's as street shoes as well! ;)

Oh my, those are so great!!!
I have a few pairs of swing shoes that I wear as regular shoes, and they are so comfortable to walk in. The heel is thicker and more stable, and often not as high as some of the regular every day shoes, which makes them much easier to get around in.

LadyDeWinter, are they ok for walking around or are they too slippery for street wear?

Hello Rebecca,

I wore the shoes yesterday all day long for the first time. They are totally o.k. for walking around they are not slippery. They are very comfortable.
But these shoes are not made for gals with wide feet.

I've seen similar shoes like that in the vintage shoe section on ebay. You never know someone might be selling a brand new pair they don't want anymore!
