Living in West L.A., when I feel the urge for a new leather jacket, I would normally drive down to the Gibson and Barnes showroom in San Diego and try on as many as it takes to make a decision.

Hey Corky,

I've been sneaking around their "IRVIN" for a little while, tempted by the price just like you. I ended up buying one from ELC as I figured that I will be wearing this for the next (at least) 15 years.

I had to pay 30% more compared to the Noble House coat but for the next 15 years I wear it bearing in mind that it is the closest I can get to an original.

So it bleeds down to the old question:

Just how much am I willing to spend for which degree of authenticity?​

If you are looking for an authentic reproduction Noble House is not the place to go. Their Irvins have pockets and their A2s have a number of features not found on originals. The B3 is just wrong. The only thing in their favour is the price.
