Hello All,

I am new here and have posted a few pictures of suits on another thread. I have a few hats also, but thought this is one of the more interesting. I suspect it has been discussed before, but I thought I would post it.

In the 1930s, Hat sales began to fall, and they brought out a range of hats endorsed by band leaders etc of the period, to try and encourage men to wear more hats.

This particular hat is the Tiger Rag, Endorsed by Harry Roy. I hope you like it.

Wow! The liner is super cool.:eusa_clap Does anybody know if that was the norm back then. I mean to have somebody endorse the hat with the fancy liner? Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the hat? Crown height, brim width, ribbon width? Thanks for the pictures.

Hi,

I have seen reference to these hats in the 1930s. This is the only one I have ever seen though. I believe that there was a whole range sponsored by various band leaders.

The dimensions are as follows,

Brim Width = 2 1/8 "
Crown Height (Measured from Brim) = 4 1/8"
Ribbon Width = 1 1/2"

It also has a little circle of air holes on each side.

Kind Regards

Ben
