While thrifting today I came across a Scottish wool Harris Tweed blazer.
Really nice brown one, or at least it appeared from the outside..
As I attempted to try it on I put my hand in the sleeve right through
the lining. Upon closer inspection I discovered the lining was ripped
to shreds around both armpits and inside both sleeves. On top of
that, someone had crudly attempted to sew it back together.
It looked like Dr. Frankenstein had worked on it. I left it in the store.
I've been told that if the label says "Scottish wool" and has a seriel number, Harris will repair the jacket for the life of the garment for free as this number means they still have that fabric in stock.
Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, does it cover linings as well?
Finally does anyone know the contact info to find out how to get his done?
