Harley Davidson AMF Cycle Champ, Sz. 50(R) - $170

Was looking forward to finally having one of these but seller got the EU/US sizes confused which means the jacket is 5 size # too big. Bought locally, no return so passing it along.

Standard AMF Cycle Champ in a size 50 Regular. You know the drill. High quality stuff. Super nice jacket. These were made by Brooks during the 70's, I believe

Super nice, mid weight leather (well, mid weight compared to I dunno, LW but it's not a lightweight jacket by any definition). Lots of character all around. Tough as nails.
Four pockets, three on the outside, one inside. Quilted nylon liner. Hardened kidney panel. Lenzip zippers.

Worn but in an excellent condition. Near flawless, actually. Only two signs of use are...

Missing one main zip tooth - it does NOT affect the operation of the zipper even in the slightest, you can zip the jacket up without any trouble with the tab just gliding over it!
Lining at the opening of the left sleeve is a bit frayed (see photo)

None of these issues affect the usability of the jacket! Other than that, some wear marks and some minor color fading at the seams but much less than what you'd expect on a 50 years old jacket.

Leather is perfectly healthy - no dry spots, no cracking. Pliable, soft, just great. All stitching holding strong, not a single thread missing anywhere inside or out. Nylon liner is clean, ditto for the pocket bags. No stains, no smell. Hardware fully operational.

Size 50 and the precise measurements are...
• Armpit to armpit: 27.5" / 71 cm
• Shoulder width: 20.5" / 52 cm
• Waist width: 23.5" / 60 cm
• Sleeve length: 27.5" / 70 cm
• Back length: 26.5" / 68 cm

It's a really cool jacket. Schott quality. Wish it worked out for me. Would've kept it.

Looking to get $170. PayPal, F&F. Shipping within EU is $15. Rest of the world, we'll figure something out.

Any questions at all, shoot me a PM. Thanks for looking.

It looks spot on for what it is & the anti-culture these 70s HD jackets appear in. Walk around NYC, plenty of baggy black Mc jackets with a grey hoodie. This one is not even baggy! It’s like the Terminator biker

Y'know, that's exactly what I had hoped for when I got the jacket. Figured, maybe I can pull it off, maybe it'll work with some layering but while maybe it isn't so obvious from the fit pics (and I'm wearing an extremely heavy wool hoodie and a Levi denim jacket underneath), I really am just waaaaay too scrawny for this jacket. If it was 46, I would've kept it. It's a beautiful jacket, breaks my heart always having to end up with wrong sizes...

These jackets are surprisingly nice! They don't get the attention they deserve...which is a good thing as it keeps the price down.

I had one of these jackets about 20 years ago and remember it being a really nice jacket. I can't remember what size it was though. Can anyone comment on how these run? True to size?

Mine was a 42" tall and I'd say it was trim but true to size.

It really is a nice jacket! It's amazing how new repros, especially modern HD jackets in the same style can't seem to get it right anymore. This looks like your typical Perfecto style motorcycle jacket but it's really superbly made and superbly designed jacket. It's comfortable, I mean, regardless of the fact that mine was sz. 50, it's functional and it looks great. Collar and lapels are perfect. Hardened kidney panel is one detail you don't see anymore. Just doubled up layer of leather is best you can hope for.

What's really cool is the shoulders width. You'll notice how they're only 20.5" on a size 50 jacket! Today, the shoulders would be like 26" or more but that's exactly what makes large sizes fit like crap nowadays. This way, the jacket won't look like a leather balloon and will instead keep it's intended, trim shape while still being perfectly comfortable.

Thanks for the replies guys. Size 40 it is. These are pretty easy to come by for well under 200 on ebay, I'll be keeping my eyes open.
