This weekend is kind of a double whammy, Pentacost Sunday and Memorial Day. Celibrate and remember.
Best wishes all!

John in Covina said:Pentacost Sunday comes from and old Testment celibration that was 50 dyas past Passover and considered an early harvest celibration.

I approve of any holiday where tradition demands the consumption of dairy desserts.

John in Covina said:Pentacost Sunday comes from and old Testment celibration that was 50 dyas past Passover and considered an early harvest celibration. In the New Testament it has to do with on that same day of celibration in Christ's time the blessing of the Holy Spirit decending apon the Apostles. From that, they receive a clarified understanding of the Salvation message and the ability to spread that message thru the whole world. So the holiday goes from being one type of harvest message to another "Harvest" message. It is also tied to the promises and fulfilment of promises given by God regarding Salvation also.
IT'S A GOOD THING.
