I've really enjoyed my dealings with Bronco Sue and I wanted to ask if anyone else has gotten any work from them. Just got in my silverbelly Rimrock Fedora and my rebuild a while back. They're both very solid everyday wear hats and I like the alternate crease on the silverbelly. The rebuild was haggard when i sent it in and I was genuinely surprised by how well they fixed it up. I looked to see if there was a Bronco Sue thread but the search function didn't bring anything up.

I've never heard of the hatter before but my search shows that you and Highlander are their only fans here on the Lounge. That's not to say that they don't do good work, only that they're flying under the radar.

Interested in what brought you to Bronco Sue for the hat work in question. If we are talking about the same company, don't they specialize in southwest cowboy hats etc.? Solid Citizen :D

I wanted to try out some of the more western creases on a hat and I had purchased a western hat from them previously and been happy with the work. I like the way Optimo does its rebuilds, but they have very traditional dress hat blocks from what I can see. I liked the Roy Rogers Crease and the Rim Rock creases at Bronco Sue. Plus their price for an all beaver dress weight hat ain't bad. I actually have another Fedora with a low Gus crease on order with them in their Saddle color. What brought me to them originally was that I was looking for a hat like the one in "Quigley Down Under". Then later I was after a hat like Bullock's in "Dead Wood", which I eventually did buy. They were very nice to deal with and I get the feeling their hats are made to be abused, which unfortunately I tend to do to my hats lol.
