Picked this up at a Goodwill in Moline, IL today and it fits, even the pants. I paid a whole $8.99.

Trespassing! Did you see the hat Bonniejean got me for my birthday? ,(check the Hats thread). Got that at Trashcan Annie's, which is more in your territory. Catch me if you can. lol

Yes it's a black/ white hounds-tooth, don't know the size, no tags except for a brand? name, "Tonesto Scarlatti". It fit's me, so I'm guessing 48R, in fact I wore it to church this morning. Got several compliments.

Another Trespasser?

I plead guilty, your honor. I picked up the very same suit in a thrift store in Wisconsin...for a mere $3.00! Mine is a Southampton sold by Norman's, Inc. Fine black/white wool houndstooth, double-breasted 6/2, pleated trousers.

I had to let out the waist of the trousers and adjust the jacket closure for my portly figure, but now it fits like a glove.

I stepped out in it for the first time when I took my wife to dinner on St. Valentine's Day. I wore it with a white-on-burgundy polka dot tie, white French-cuff shirt and white handkerchief in the breast pocket. (Next time, I'll add a burgundy carnation.)

Over this I wore a black wool DB overcoat, gray fedora (a cowboy conversion) and gray suede gloves. This overcoat has a breast pocket for a white hankerchief, a nice '40s touch.

We make quite a hit at the local bistro, and surprisingly, no comments about the St. Valentine's Day massacre.
