Good Wear Imperial

I believe a forum member initiated this Good Wear Imperial based on the Iconic Sears Hercules jacket from the 1930's.

This one is sized 46. i believe John said he has only made 4 of these. I've owned reproductions from Aero, Johnson Leather, Bill Kelso. I still own the BK edition.

I wish I could take credit for this jacket, but all I take credit for is having the sense to buy it. I didn't inspire it, order it, or make it. that goes for all my Good Wears.

Interesting I have never owned a Good Wear military Jacket. I've looked and bid on a few. Maybe just one more. I would guess there are folks who own multiple Good Wears, so I'm not too crazy.

The Poncho Barnes is mine when it came out of the Box, the Imperial when I put it on.

John is in the tradition of great jacket makers from the past and the present. All these jackets will most likely outlive me. As the Jackets that inspired these diminish these become the Vintage Jackets, The Originals.

All the Jackets posted here, not just a few Brands, will be around for a long time. Quality endures.

Beautiful. I have just bought a second-hand GW and it is becoming my favorite jacket. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the GW are rare in Europe and the taxes and import duties make them prohibitive - notwithstanding the long wait ((

All the Jackets pictured are Good Wear-John Chapman. All are Shinki Horsehide, all are a bit different.
