Good Cobblers for my Remix shoes in London?

I hope someone can help. I have these Remix shoes, that I haven't been able to wear at all this Summer, as the sole at the very front has worn away where it meets the leather and I don't know where to get them repaired. I took a pair of vintage shoes to Timpsons last year and they stuck a horrible plastic looking sole on, I don't want my Remix lovelies to meet the same fate!

Where abouts in London are you? We have a very very good cobler near here in North Camp near Aldershot. He used to do all the work for Sandhurst Military College.

Simone had a pair of shoes done there, and they were really good. It may be a little far for you though and I am sure there are some good cobblers in London.

I would really recommend the chap Ben mentioned near us in North Camp. He did a super job on a pair of 30s sandals for me, resoleing and heeling in leather. He even put the heels tacks in the same as it was originaly.

I had a good chat to him and he has over 30 years experience in fixing military shoes for Sandhurst. To him it is an art.

For my work it was £24.95. That's the same as you would pay to have it done at any bog standard place, but the quality was far, far higher.
